Clear Packaging is looking for a Lab Technician to test and analyze packaging-related materials for a variety of customer and industry-specific standards. The Lab Technician will follow test procedures, operate basic laboratory equipment, accurately summarize & report data, and communicate results to appropriate entities.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Perform testing and analysis of packaging and packaging-related materials in the laboratory for: Durability, Sustainability, Thermal Properties, Mechanical Properties (using Instron equipment), Precise Measurements (using Micro-Vu equipment), etc.
• Support the entire scope of the laboratory equipment and services, including validation of methods and procedures, as well as an operational understanding of all equipment manuals and protocol with the objective of conducting tests
• Coordinate daily activities with the Senior Project Engineer in an effort to maintain goal alignment throughout the organization
• Correctly report test findings and accurately enter such findings into the Laboratory Quality Management Software system
• Assist with the receipt of incoming product through material handling, product movement within the facility, and transfer through recycling or disposal of waste
• Regularly self-audit laboratory operations for consistency in measurement and assessment design
Experience/Education:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Preferred qualifications:
• College Degree
• 2 years laboratory or technical experience
• Experience in the packaging industry
