Job responsibilty includes gemeral operations, in plating, spray painting, metalizing, sandblasting, and processing of parts in high temperature furnaces. Perform other related duties as required.
Reads and interprets drawings and specifications, and works from verbal or written instructions.
Parts preparation process such as vapor de-greasing, chemical cleaning of parts and sandblasting, Must be able to use handheld instrument, ie caliper and micrometer.
Eyesight and manual dexterity are essential.
Perform visual and mechanical inspection on production parts
Must be able to plan own work and maintain written records
Must exercise extreme care in the use and handling of chemicals, solvents, and coatings
Must pay close attention to procedures
Must maintain good housekeeping
1. Position requires proficient use of the following ancillary tools and/or equipment, microscope, lighted magnifier, standard and digital micrometers to .0001" accuracy, various go-no-go fixtures and other measuring devices that are set up so the placement of the part and reading of the measurement device is all that is required.
2. Must be able to lift frequently heavy material and equipment in plating and spray painting operations.
3. Posses good oral, written, and organizational skills.
4. Must be able to work with various chemicals to include oils, plating chemicals, acid, bases, organic solvents and inorganic materials, and spray paint materials.
5. Perform well under pressure.
6. This position requires frequent heavy lifting of material, standing, stooping, bending and reaching motions, at various heights to include placing plating barrels in plating solutions.
7. Gloves, aprons, safety glasses, and full-face shields required in some operations.
8. Good vision required and must have good color acuity for plating and spray painting applications.
9. Must be able to work in a controlled atmosphere environment.
10. Position requires movement of parts and containers weighing up to 20 pounds.
11. Keep work areas clean, and perform other related duties as assigned.
