Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Performs a variety of front office duties for the medical practice. Greet and assist all patients and visitors. Gather medical records on patients, scans information to patient chart and prepares chart for patient visit. Handles all record requests. Secures accurate insurance and demographic information from the patient to be entered into the computer system. Answer and route incoming telephone call as needed. Must be familiar with insurance rules and billing practices in order to assist patients with questions. Assist with patient check out and scheduling of any ordered diagnostic procedures or future appointments. Collects copays and past due balances. Maintains physician schedules and calendars. Travels to satellite clinic locations as needed.BLS preferred but required within 3 months of employment. High school graduate or GED equivalent is required. Minimum of one year front office and/or medical experience in physician office or similar setting required.
