Piedmont Heart is currently recruiting an Advanced Heart Failure physician for their regional transplant and advanced therapies program. Qualified candidates should be Board Certified in Advanced Heart Failure and a Transplantation Cardiologist with demonstrated clinical skills in the area of Advanced Heart Failure and mechanical circulatory assist devices.
Piedmont Heart is a top 10 LVAD transplantation center (#1 in Georgia), a leading ECMO volume center in the nation, and 1 of 2 CMS certified adult heart transplant programs in Georgia. The center currently offers a comprehensive heart failure disease management program and a full spectrum of advanced medical and surgical treatment options, including mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation. Established ambulatory Heart Failure Centers are located throughout the Piedmont Healthcare system that serve as satellites for care delivery. Patients receive extensive education, access to a state-of-the-art outpatient management, clinical research opportunities, patient-centered cardiac rehabilitation programs, comprehensive case management and palliative care.
Piedmont Heart combines a Level I Cardiovascular Center, with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, healthcare professionals and physicians, providing quality, compassionate care for patients with cardiac, thoracic and vascular conditions. With more than 100 cardiovascular physicians and surgeons providing care at over 20 cardiology offices across Metro Atlanta and North Georgia — including Athens, Atlanta, Covington, Fayetteville, Newnan, Stockbridge and Jasper.
