Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
This position supports the operations and activities of the Center for the Ecology of Infectious Diseases ( CEID ), the Global Infectious Disease Intelligence Consortium ( GIDIC ), and Drake Lab. The employee will work with CEID and GIDIC Director John Drake and teams of student, postdoc, faculty, and staff researchers to help communicate the results of various projects that elucidate the nature of disease emergence, transmission, spread, and the potential effects of various mitigation strategies. The associate will work with CEID's working groups, the Global Infectious Disease Intelligence Consortium, and provide communications support for other center activities, including sponsored projects.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Proficient technical writing, scientific programming in R or similar, reproducible report writing, experience with web design or development. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborative communications projects.

Duties/Responsibilities
Aid in sponsored project writing and development. Develop and maintain website content for grant projects and Drake Lab, including reproducible reports integrating scientific writing, programming, and graphics. Write content for GIDIC newsletters, annual horizon report, and other communications products. Develop and maintain web-based content for the Japanese Encephalitis Virus Information Sharing Network.

Prepare weekly publication summaries for the CEID website and aid in website development. Aid in development of Annual Report content. Create content for one sheets and brochures of the Drake Lab and GIDIC .
