Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree.
Position Summary
Assist in the development and implementation of all services related to academic planning, academic support, academic major selection, career counseling, academic monitoring, and personal development for student-athletes. Ensures compliance with NCAA , SEC , and institutional rules in the area of academic counseling.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to academic and personal integrity.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Multi-task and work within deadlines.
• Ability to monitor students' progress and coordinate their class schedule, tutorial sessions, and development.
• Ability to communicate with coaches, students, tutors and professors.
• Ability to provide academic support and counseling in regard to students' courses and progress towards graduation.

Duties/Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary academic counselor for Gymnastics, Baseball, and Men's Swimming and Diving.
• Monitor academic progress of student-athletes, including weekly meetings with student-athletes, daily monitoring of class attendance, academic appointment attendance, and grades.
• Daily communication with students, coaches, instructors, administrations, parents, and guardians with regard to students' progress toward degree and eligibility.
