Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
The ParaTransit Manager is responsible for providing the overall oversight to ParaTransit Operations in coordination with the Director and Associate Director of Transportation and Parking Services. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures in accordance with federal regulations as it pertains to transporting passengers with approved ADA disabilities. The ParaTransit Manager works to ensure that daily ParaTransit operations, including approved ADA disability support for campus events, are provided in a safe and timely manner in compliance with applicable laws, codes and policies.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
• Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of managing ParaTransit operations.
• Ability to stay abreast of ParaTransit operations principles, techniques, and developments.
• Ability to work with data and optimize schedules, routes, and stops.
• Thorough knowledge of Safety Management System principles and how to apply those principles.
• Thorough knowledge of ADA Accommodations and Disability Resources
• Familiarity with HIPAA and other federal safety compliance related laws.
Physical Demands
Sitting for long periods of time and working on a computer for extended periods. Driving. Lift up to 50 pounds. Walk up to 1/4 mile each way. Work in adverse climate.

Lead, manage, and provide oversight to the ParaTransit Operations sector of the Campus Transit System under the general guidance and supervision of the Director and Associate Director of Transportation and Parking Services.
