Pharmacy Tech II - Home Care Infusion
Full-time, 40 hours/week  Monday - Friday
Expected Starting Salary Range: 18.83 - 22.95
A technician who assists the pharmacist in certain activities such as medication profile reviews for drug incompatibilities, typing of prescription labels, prescription packaging, handling of purchase records, and inventory control, and may, where state law and hospital policy permit, dispense drugs to patients under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Medication Orders
Order evaluation, preparation and entry of IV medication, irrigations, Synagis and enteral formula/feeding supplies.  Performs phone triage. Performs insurance adjudication. Performs medication storage inspections.
Compounding
Performs Sterile compounding or hazardous compounding.
Tech Check Tech
Under authorized program is able to check the work of another pharmacy technician.
Phone Triage
Performs phone triage
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of work experience in a related job discipline
Certified via Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
Preferred:
3 years high volume IV experience
