Community Animal Hospital in Dublin, VA is growing and we are currently seeking a salaried part-time or full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our team of dedicated doctors and fill our growing need for additional patient care. CAH is located in beautiful southwest Virginia near Claytor Lake State Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and miles and miles of hiking, biking, and running trails.
We pride ourselves on excellent patient care and offer digital x-ray, CT scan, ultrasonography, dental x-ray, orthopedic surgical care, surgical and therapy laser, laparoscopic surgical procedures, and significant in-house diagnostics.
Our ideal candidate will be comfortable with routine surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, and other soft-tissue surgeries. He/she will also be well versed in routine preventative medicine, as well as treatment of common acute illnesses and basic emergency procedures. We are fortunate to be within a 30-45 minute drive of three emergency clinics (one of which is the teaching hospital at Virginia Tech), meaning that after-hours on-call shifts are not required. Weekday shifts are scheduled for 10 hours and weekend shifts (Saturdays only) are scheduled for 4 hours.
We have a well-trained support staff and strive to cultivate a work environment that is friendly with a focus on mentorship and work-life balance. Opportunities for doctors include mentoring with ultrasonography and orthopedic surgical procedures as well as internal and emergency medicine.
