Job Summary
Coordinate clinical learning lab facilities and services in the nursing program.
Job Duties:
• Responsible for delivery of content material in the skills lab equivalent to lecture material each semester in multiple courses.
• Coordinate operational activities and services of the lab including lab set up and managing lab equipment and supplies.
• Contribute as an active member in team teaching by providing assistance to faculty and students in the clinical lab setting.
• Promote safe lab practices.
• Implement simulation activities.
• Comply with SAC accreditation requirements.
• Enforce laboratory policies and procedures.
• Maintain laboratory records as necessary.
• Participate in instructional presentation and delivery; the planning and designing of instructional programs; instructional evaluation and assessment; student advising, and professional development.
• Assume a participative role in supporting and promoting the mission, goals, and objectives of the College by performing the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the leadership of the department.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• Documented minimum of two years full time or equivalent experience as a registered nurse within the immediate past five years.
• Current active, unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Kentucky.
• Candidate must obtain their Simulation certification within two years of hire.
• To satisfy the requirements of area clinical facilities the successful candidate will be required to submit to a drug screen, background check and immunization review.
• Medical-Surgical or critical care nursing experience required
• Must be able to work in a standard office and lab environment.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel and stoop.
• Occasional lifting of objects up to 30 pounds.

• Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Preferred BSN or MSN
• Preferred Simulation certification
• Preferred Teaching experience
• Experience in and understanding of working with students from diverse populations is preferred.
• Experience working at the community college level is preferred.
