Job Description
CT/X-Ray Tech for an Ambulatory location, providing general X-ray and CT services, for an Outpatient and an Emergency Department setting.
Formulates and employs safe radiographic exposure factors and minimizes radiation dosage on each exam
Follow the safety steps required to perform their duties and be in compliance with medical, state and federal safety standards. They must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriately.
Must be proficient in all aspects of ordered X-ray and CT procedures. This service provides diagnostic images for interpretation by the Radiologist.
Obtains and records all patient data as required by the medical center, state, JCAHO or other agencies. Ensure proper charging of all procedures, coding, and modifiers are correct.
Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment. Notifies supervision and clinical engineering of malfunctions or breakdowns. Follows disinfectant guidelines for equipment cleaning as set by department standards.

• Education and National Credentials:
• ARRT(R) registered or eligible (see below for individual state requirements)
• State Licensure
• CPR certified
