We are seeking a Surgical Assistant with a minimum of 2 years experience. Day Shift 7a-5:30p. Four 10hr shifts. Primary responsibility involvesperformance of specific tasks, as a Surgical Assistant, during surgicalprocedures to permit the surgeon to perform an efficient and safeoperation.Assists with identifyinganatomy within the operative field. Maintains positive customer relations. Shall demonstrate competency and possess the technical skills appropriatefor his/her assigned cases and utilizes that knowledge in assistingothers.Performs various duties withinhis/her scope of responsibility and is accountable to the manager of theSurgical Assistants. Extensive knowledge of anatomy andphysiology, excellent eye-hand coordination, and ability to stand for longperiods. Sound judgment and knowledge of scientific principles mustbe used. EDUCATION: 2 years college or specialty school insurgical assisting. Licenses Registrations &/or Certifications: NSAA, CFA in theAST,AA-C in the AAPA, or CRNFA in theONA OR, BLS.
