PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Clinical Patient Access Manager helps to lead the daily operation of the organization's Call Center including all clinical support provided by the department. The Clinical Patient Access Manager will specifically manage, provide direction to and help expand the responsibilities of the Clinical Patient Access Specialists and the clinical scope of the Call Center. This is a position that is responsible for creating a positive impression with physicians, management, employees, patients and visitors he/she encounters, both in person and on the phone. They are responsible to meet and/or exceed organizational goals and objectives relating to operating budget including business objectives, performance, and resource management.
EDUCATION:
Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Nursing - RN
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
2 years' experience in area of certification and one year of leadership/coaching preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, knowledge of Epic, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn other computer skills. Must have good organizational skills and work professionally with doctors, hospital administration and management, SEP employees and the public.
1. Extensive knowledge of current practice management system.
2. Extensive knowledge of front office operations (registration, charge entry, scheduling, etc.).
3. Knowledge of clinical practice operations.
4. Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA compliance.
5. Demonstrated ability to provide care in an ambulatory setting.
6. Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team-based decision-making culture.
7. Cooperates with other departments and work groups.
8. Demonstrated ability to work independently resulting in effective outcomes and on-time performance.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum of an RN required.
