Position Purpose:
This position reports to Senior Systems Engineer and will work closely with the IT team to support all CCS departments.  This position will work closely with the Systems Analyst and Integrator to monitor and maintain the integrity of our environment, review and help develop improvements to our existing architecture and support daily operations.  The Systems Administrator will need both strong and broad technical skill and interest at the position requires the ability to focus on specific technologies while being able to transition quickly to different technological stacks.  Strong troubleshooting skills will also be required to deal with both specific technical issues and cross-system interactions.  Duties will involve working with a number of technologies including Google and Microsoft services, backups, systems automation and basic scripting techniques.  Successful candidates will have at least four (4) years of experience in information technology and demonstrated an ability to learn new technologies and take on increasing responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Systems Management
• Management of GSuite tools including but not limited to GMail, Drive, Docs, and Administrative Console to ensure proper operation and security for our users
• Maintenance of Microsoft Windows Servers and related services, providing technical support and software expertise to ensure that they operate accurately and efficiently in response to user requirements
• Maintenance and monitoring of Active Directory services, including automation tools and auditing
• Maintenance and monitoring of physical system hardware including firmware, bios and driver updates for server and storage devices
• Oversee building / updating / maintaining infrastructure used for different business services
• Maintain and monitor security software including ant-virus and anti-spyware tools
• Analyze and resolve issues, gather information to identify needs, evaluate systems and network requirements
• Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
• Maintain internal and cloud-based IT platforms linked to business services
• Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for end user administrative tasks.
Operational Support
• Participates in the planning and implementation of major software and hardware upgrades, ensuring change management procedures and methodologies are implemented and followed
• Engage with the technology team on service improvements, incident postmortems and new service projects
• Interact with team members and vendors to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
• Follow IT operations processes – change management, patch management, incident and problem management, capacity management
• Perform routine and scheduled audits of systems
• Identify and implement solutions to optimize IT operations and workflows
• Keep up with technologies pertaining to responsibilities and ongoing initiatives
Technological Support
• Use incident tracking tools and resolving help-desk calls
• Support project managers for implementation of new application solutions, including technical support
• Support remote and contractor users and their technical needs
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have at least four (4) years of experience in information technology systems and demonstrated an ability to learn new technologies and take on increasing responsibilities.
• Bachelor's Degree in Related Field or combination of Certifications and equivalent experience
• Windows Server Administration: 3 Years (Preferred)
• Active Directory Administration: 2 Years (Preferred)
• Google GSuite and Cloud technologies: 1 year (preferred)
• Other Cloud Systems Administration (Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS): 1 year (preferred)
• Familiarity with backup and recovery software (VEEAM preferred)
• Familiarity with storage systems and NAS devices
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMWare)
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
• Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities
• Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or a combination of related experience and education
• A results oriented individual who thrives working in a fast paced environment
• Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
• Vehicle and valid driver’s license for daily travel within the division

The Systems Administrator is evaluated by the Director of Technology
Contract Length:
12 months/260 days
Primary Location Division Administration Annex Salary Range $50,862.00 - $89,063.00 / Per Year Shift Type Full-Time
