Travel OR Tech
The Surgical Tech (OR Tech, Certified Surgical Tech, CST) will provide prepare operating rooms for surgery before, during, and after procedures. The primary function of an is to provide safe, effective, and efficient operation practices of the patient in the operating room.
Travel Surgical Techs perform all technical aspects including:
• Prepare operating rooms for surgery.
• Sterilize equipment and make sure that there are adequate supplies for surgery.
• Ready patients for surgery, such as by washing and disinfecting incision sites.
• Help surgeons during surgery by passing them instruments and other sterile supplies when needed.
• Flexibility to travel to the assignment location.
• Availability to work the facility's required schedule.
• Willingness to complete onboarding items in a timely manner.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and strive for the highest quality of patient care.
• Also referred to as: surgical technician, surgical tech, OR technician, certified surgical tech, CST, NBSTSA tech.
. Job Requirements:
• 1+ year of acute care experience in the operating room
• May require an active Surgical Technician license/certification
• BLS certification required
