Audit is a critical component of GameStop's control and risk management infrastructure. Successful professionals in this group will demonstrate a strong understanding of our business, build strong working relationships with business partners and deliver value added services which strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of our global processes.The Internal Auditor will plan and execute independent audit testing in support of the annual audit plan, including execution of planning, fieldwork, and reporting activities.  The role will also support the execution of SOX Assurance activities, with additional support to the SOX program through the 302 certification and SOX scoping processes. This role is based in Dallas, TX.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform audit testing components of assigned audits for all phases of audit execution.Plan and execute independent audit test steps with clear and concise documentation for operational audits and SOX testwork.Analyze the risks and the design of controls around key business processes and systems through the execution of operational audits and SOX testwork.Ability to plan and execute audits of information systems and data within established business process controlsPrepare and report on audit and SOX findings, presenting exceptions to business stakeholders and assisting with recommendations for remediation actions.Perform data analytics in support of internal audits, SOX testing execution, investigations, continuous monitoring or upon additional request.Responsible for the timely delivery of assigned audits and SOX controlsSupport 302 certification and SOX scoping initiatives in preparation of SOX assurance cyclesDevelop and maintain strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders from other internal functions.Represent the Internal Audit function globally to key stakeholders through strong cross-functional partnership.Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other internal functions towards the improvement and maintenance of the GameStop control environmentBuild and maintain collaborative relationships with all risk and control functionsREQUIREMENTSUndergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, business administration, information systems, or related area.Minimum 3 years in internal audit or related functions within a public accounting firm or equivalent experience in a corporate environmentCertified Internal Auditor (CIA) or CPA preferred MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIESStrong quantitative analysis skills, including the ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and report financial and operational data.Strong project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting prioritiesStrong ability to gather and scrutinize data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutionsProficient ability to communicate, written and oral, throughout the organizationProficient ability to work collaboratively with othersProficient knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs; specifically, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and WordConsistently demonstrates a commitment to GameStop policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities
