Job Description You will be accountable for the delivery of the ANZ Capex Strategy & Project Portfolio Typically this would be $20-30m per year.
Summary of Job Responsibilities:
* To ensure all investment proposals clearly prove the business case and project viability. Accountable for the delivery of the relevant Capex Strategy & Project Portfolio on time in full.
* To track execution of the Project Portfolio for ANZ, and agree changes, through rigorous prioritisation and weekly / monthly reviews with Sites, Package Sponsors, Finance and Operations Leadership team.
* To deploy FEL Project Management Process, Engineering Standards, Preferred Suppliers, Procedures and KPIs for Capex projects for ANZ sites and be gatekeeper of the processes to ensure compliance.
* To present Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs) to International and EVP Committees for ANZ Sites.
* Ensure the adoption of Engineering Pillar of the Manufacturing Playbook within sites.
* To lead development of the 5 year strategic Capex Master Plan for ANZ, working with Head of Supply, Supply Chain Development Leads, Factory Managers, Procurement, Logistics and Package Sponsors, ensuring alignment with category plans, complete with impact on KPIs.
* Lead the process to generate the ANZ Capex Annual Operating Plan (AOP), ensuring alignment with Zone category plans, complete with impact on KPIs.
• Support the development of core capabilities within ANZ e.g. hygienic design, project management
• Identify and Lead transformational projects across the region
Key Activities
* A 5 year prioritised investment plan by site (11 sites and ~$100-150m investment across the strategic time horizon) which enables Kraft Heinz commercial ambitions by addressing key legislative, risk management, growth, cost out and essential replacement requirements
* Capital projects designed to maximise operating income and factory efficiency whilst ensuring that all quality, environmental and safety requirements are met. This will include a thorough evaluation of alternative courses of action.
* Compliance with Health and Safety legislative requirements including: Construction, Design and Management Regulations; Health and Safety at Work; Relevant ANZ and company engineering standards; relevant Company procedures pertaining to Safety, Environment, Quality Assurance, Project Management, and Financial Accounting.
* Accurate planning of capital project costs, milestones and resources from concept to completion and integration of plans with all relevant functions and accurate forecasting and reporting of associated financial commitments including the identification of financial risks and opportunities.
* Identify and develop opportunities for improvement to existing equipment, production lines and operating systems to maximise the efficiency and output of manufacturing operations which are aligned with corporate and site strategic goals.
About you
* Strong Leader and experienced engineer with a thorough knowledge of proven and advanced technology and with the ability to apply that knowledge practically to ensure competitive and innovative advantage.
* Able to communicate and present technical Business Cases and Investment Proposals up to Vice President level (L2) and to Executive Vice President level (L1) when required
* Highly numerate and financially aware to allow project financial analysis to be completed in conjunction with financial analysts. Ability to identify appropriate project sensitivities and account for expenditure appropriately.
* End to End Business and deep Supply Chain understanding
* Excellent project management skills particularly, organisational, influencing and planning skills.
* Highly competent oral and written communicator including presentation to senior management forums and able to create concise and effective reports and written business cases for technical and non-technical audiences
* Computer literate including knowledge of web based systems and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows suite.
* Ability to identify engineering solutions which meet the Company's need to maintain or increase competitive advantage, support long term manufacturing strategy, improve profitability, and provide opportunities for future strategic business decision making.
* Subscribes to a philosophy of Continuous Improvement, making recommendations as to how the team and processes can improve to deliver against company and department objectives.
* Able to use experience and judgement to appropriately identify and effectively manage risks and develop contingency plans to resolve.
