Basic Functions : To manage and oversee daily operations related to Revenue Cycle Management for an Orthopedics practice.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in the review and updating of billing manuals
• May train or serve as a resource for new or existing personnel
• Lead focused projects as directed by Client Service leadership
• Interact with hospital staff when necessary to gather or clarify information pertaining to that client.
• Oversee daily operation of the department with regards to workflow, productivity, etc.
• Monitor client performance and respond as necessary.
• Provide effective communication between company, clients and employees.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.
• Monitor Orthopedics RCM performance; Days on Book, AR over 120 days old, denial rates
• Collaborate with colleagues and teams, to put processes in place to efficiently and effectively resolve denials and decrease AR
• Outline process for resolving front end errors related to eligibility, registration and clearinghouse rejections
• Navigate Electronic Medical Record system to streamline workflows, manage denials and AR as well as charges and payments
• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly charges and payments, address areas of concern timely
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Orthopedics billing knowledge and experience
• NextGen experience is preferred, but not required.
Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Knowledge of billing requirements and operations
• Minimum one to three years' work experience
• Knowledge of procedural requirements
• Demonstrated written and oral communications
