Full Job Description
PURPOSE:
The sales representative is responsible for the sale of new and used cars.
• CORE DUTIES
• Aggressively and cheerfully perform or ensure performance of any and all activities necessary to improve and maintain the highest possible
Dealership Customer Satisfaction level.
• Generate and maximize unit sale:
• Work to achieve sales goals set by management on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis and review daily the results vs goals.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM.
• Follow the CRM follow up procedures without fail.
• Utilize phone, mail, civic organizations, personal advertising, and other forms of prospecting.
• Total understanding of the selling process
• Demonstrate profitable use of floor time to effectively close first time prospects.
• 100 of the time you mus have an introduction of customer to the appropriate manager to insure effective close of vehicle transaction.
• Be Knowledgeable of questions concerning extended warranty.
• Check condition of vehicles sold personally.
• Deliver all vehicles sold personally.
• Always introducing customer to service facility and personnel.
• Acquire and maintain total product knowledge:
• Capability of communicating all features and benefits of all models.
• Take all factory tests and become a certified salesperson.
• Maintain current knowledge of competitions features, benefits, and shortcomings.
• Use effective demonstration rides and walk around to reinforce product features.
• Knowledge of complete inventory, both in stock and in process
• Participate in training programs, product seminars, competitive comparison meeting, etc.
• Other Duties
• Demonstrate professional personal behavior:
• Treat all customers in an enthusiastic, courteous and helpful manner always striving for complete customer satisfaction.
• Dressing appropriate, in uniform supplied by company and as defined by dealership policies and procedures.
• Refraining from smoking in presence of customers.
• Proper and timely greeting of customers entering the dealership.
• Dealing honestly and accurately with both customers and management.
• Complete all paper work in a timely manner
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Physical Qualifications:
• Ability to assist in snow removal on sales lot and vehicle.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs
• Qualifications:
• Know and understand the federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales.
• Must follow company safety policies and practices and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager/Supervisor.
• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Must have a valid in-state drivers license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
• Must be insurable by company insurance company.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours.
