Job Description
Schwickert's is now hiring residential HVAC installers at our Mankato location!

As an HVAC installer you will work in residences and some commercial environments. You will install and start up the equipment according to the manufacturer's specifications and ensure the new systems work efficiently. Customer experience and satisfaction are our highest priority. Job duties will vary by experience in the HVAC field.
HVAC Installer Duties and Responsibilities
• Installation of heating, venting and air conditioning systems in residences and some light commercial establishments.
• Performs a proper and documented start-up of equipment installed.
• Maintaining a detailed inventory of all materials, equipment and resources.
• Communicates in a professional manner with customers, co-workers and subcontractors.
• Adheres to all local, state and federal building codes practices and regulations
• Possesses EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification license (Core, Type I & Type II).
• Completes job tickets and related memorandum accurately.
• Understands that safety is the #1 Priority, used personal protective equipment, documents site safety plans and understands electrical hazards and electrical safety.
• Maintains company vehicle organization/cleanliness and is responsible for vehicle inventory.
• Participate in continuing education sessions to ensure installation procedures are current with latest technology.
• Performs additional duties as required/needed.
• Requires working 40+ during the busy seasons which may include some evenings or possibly weekends.
JOB SPECIFICATION :
Education/Experience : 1-3 years of experience in an HVAC related field or construction field preferred but not required. Technical school degree desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be EPA certified or willing to take the EPA exam within a month of starting date. NATE certification or similar qualifications are desired but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
• Knowledge of principles and methods involved in showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This product demonstration to customers and sales techniques.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Highly customer service oriented.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Other critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification/resolution, multi-tasking, follow-through skills to bring tasks to closure in a timely manner, priority setting, and having a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks in a timely manner.
• Starting pay will be based upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.
