Job Description
Diagnose all maintenance activities related to the Company's vehicle fleet, trailer fleet, construction equipment and tools to ensure cost control, reliability, safety and regulatory compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform preventative maintenance on Fleet vehicles, trailers, construction equipment and tools.
• Ability to keep records of preventative maintenance, repairs and additions/subtractions to fleet.
• Inventory parts and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable DOT regulations.
• Additional duties as needed.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
• Education/Experience: Diploma or Associates in Automotive Service/Technology; ASE certified; five or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of DOT regulations and driver requirements.
• DOT certified inspector or knowledge of DOT inspection requirements.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Possession of Class A Commercial Driver's License with HazMat and Tanker endorsement or ability to obtain CDL and endorsements.
• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of people and situations.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong proficiency using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Other critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification/resolution, multi-tasking, follow-through skills to bring tasks to closure in a timely manner, priority setting, and having a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks in a timely manner.
