POSITION: Application Support Analyst
DEPARTMENT: Business Technology Unit
SALARY GRADE: 12 REPORTS TO: Business Technology Unit Manager
FLSA: Exempt DATE: 7/2022
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the innovation, implementation, support, and testing of business applications as directed. Works with business unit managers to understand software requirements and uses internal and vendor provided resources as directed to deliver solutions that address those needs. Assures the efficient operation of the Credit Union's business units by researching, testing, and implementing solutions to application issues.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITY:
• Provides application troubleshooting and problem resolution for assigned applications.
• Acts as subject matter expert in assigned areas of responsibility.
• Assists with configuration and testing of assigned applications to ensure applications are working as needed and in an optimal manner.
• Continually monitors and resolves application issues and provides timely feedback on assigned tasks.
• Ensures stability and develops roadmaps for all assigned applications.
• Provides user support in the area of software applications by serving as a liaison between users and vendors.
• Participates in application-related projects as needed and effectively identifies, documents, and communicates business requirements to affected stakeholders.
• Ensures a proper handoff to operations and technology support groups when new software or software features are introduced into production.
• Escalates unresolved application issues to 3rd party vendors in a timely manner.
• Works collaboratively with vendors and business units to ensure that systems and business requirements/needs are met.
• Develops strong working relationships with all departments within the organization.
• Assists and supports business units in the evaluation, development, and implementation of policies and procedures related to assigned applications.
• Maintains and develops user friendly documentation to ensure proper use of applications as well as keeping accurate documentation of all custom applications or unique configurations to vendor provided solutions.
• Maintains a positive working relationship with software vendors to ensure timely installations and problem resolution.
• Keeps current with new technologies and solutions by attending technical training, seminars, workshops, and/or related academic courses as required and communicate opportunities to management.
• Know and understand all credit union policies.
• Comply with all federal regulations, credit union policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy and the USA Patriot Act.
• Comply with all fair lending laws and the prohibitions enumerated in the credit union’s lending policy.
• Ensure that the confidentiality of all information and transactions regarding the credit union, its members, and employees are held to the highest level of business ethics.
• Overtly support the team environment in the workplace as well as credit union management and the Board of Directors.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• A degree in Computer Science or other related field and minimum equivalent experience of three years working in an IT or Business environment.
• Understanding of system platforms and networking.
• Must have good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to perform well in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines is essential.
• Demonstrates proven ability to be able to identify system requirements.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments is necessary.
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team
