Job Summary
We are now looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead and develop the crew and will be responsible for decision making regarding productivity and quality needs. This position also will train, develop, and implement  Preventive Maintenance and Planned Maintenance (PM) methodology to eliminate losses.
The position is based in Louisa, Virginia, USA.
Tetra Pak is not considering applicants (Internal or External) who require International relocation to the United States.
What you will do
As a Maintenance Supervisor you will:
• Be able to operate all operations in process area; drive the machine, to produce quality product within specification in a safe and efficient manner.
• Understand the quality standards intended for the process, to perform quality inspection using designated equipment. Investigate anomalies, lead single event analysis, maintain logs and reports, report any anomalies that impact the quality of the process, complying with the specifications.
• Participate in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) teams and activities to eradicate losses in the process following the WCM methodology.
• Drive the safety culture and program within the area, complying with the safety policy and all measures including safety standards and food safety standards.
• Troubleshoot problems causing waste and improve the situation and further prevent waste generation by ensuring all procedures are followed. Zero loss mindset, being proactive to further minimize waste by continuous improvement.
• Manage team and employee development: ensure managing people (manage vacation, leave, and overtime scheduling for operators – plan, approve and report), handle all performance management activities and appraisals of all operators in shift in process area. Provide training to new operators, drive development of all operators on shift.
• Lead shift handovers, support cell team on daily management system including reporting, loss identification, loss analysis, creating and updating standards.
We believe you have
• Technical degree or High School is a must. Bachelor’s degree in related areas (industrial engineer, mechanical engineer or electronic engineer) will be a plus.
• 2-3 years of relevant management experience inside of a manufacturing environment, managing at least 10 direct reports.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Mechanical aptitude required. Machine systems handling.
• Strong knowledge of Continuous Improvement and PM (Preventive Maintenance) Methodology is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP preferred.
• Management of maintenance tags through PM.
• Ability to read, create, understand and comply with work instruction, training manuals, safety rules, standard operating procedures and continuous improvement processes.
• Ability to work different shifts as needed, including covering for peers.
