SUMMARY The mission of the United States Air Force (AF) is to fly, fight, and win in air, space, and cyberspace domains. The AF/A4C aims to effectively optimize resource allocation and Civil Engineering (CE) programs while modernizing and recapitalizing installation infrastructure, protecting installation from mission degradation, and executing sustainment programs. The successful candidate will assist Air Force Civil Engineers coordinate, consolidate and develop recommendations for EOD policy and guidance, EOD capabilities and EOD modernization. The successful candidate must possess a top secret and NATO clearance. ***Current active DoD Top Secret & NATO clearance required*** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following (Other duties may be assigned): * Provide detailed updates to leadership and stakeholders by participating in meetings/forums and coordinating, consolidating, developing, and delivering/presenting associated meeting materials (e.g., slides, after action reports, minutes). * Develop and advocate for AF capability needs into all EOD initiatives under AF/A4C program management oversight. * Participate at Joint EOD Board meetings. * Provide expert analysis and recommendations on EOD modernization topics. * Prepare EOD briefings, BBPs, or other documentation in support of working groups and tiger teams analyzing Air Force requirements, Joint EOD programs of record and other EOD issues. * Develop and communicate Air Force positions on EOD programs under AF/A4C program management. * Assist Government representatives in ensuring EOD equities are captured in AF, Joint, DoD and NATO planning and programming documents. * Participate in and support working groups in conjunction with Government representatives * Review documents and develop concise staff packages SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY No supervisory or management authority. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE * A Bachelor's degree * 12 years of experience (GS-13/14 equivalent) in EOD, Emergency Services, Expeditionary Engineering Support, and/or CBRN defense operations * Broad expertise in Global Force Management policies, guidance, and strategies * UDM experience highly desired * Former military or DOD civilian is desired * Requires a Top Secret and NATO clearanceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Top Secret clearance * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing * Exceptional soft skills and the ability to comfortably interact with senior level government and contractor personnel on an as needed basis * Broad expertise in AF and DoD corporate processes, policies and programs * Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills * Strong analytic skills * Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently * Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook * Requires a Common Access Card (CAC) or the ability to obtain one through a federal investigation. * Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee FederalWORK ENVIRONMENT * Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must be local to DC/Virginia/Maryland area. * Work will be performed through a combination of telework and workdays in the Pentagon.
