Ideal candidates have stamina, a charismatic personality, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Banquet Servers focus on opportunities to enhance the guests’ event by their ability to create memorable and personal experiences.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:$2.80 per hour plus gratuity (Banquet Gratuity can average between $15 - $25 per hour depending on business levels) – Paid Biweekly (every two weeks)Extensive health benefits, paid time off, holiday pay, 401K w/Company Match, tuition reimbursement, and employee hotel discounts at hundreds of US and international properties to name a few.SCHEDULE:The hospitality industry operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days of the year. All candidates are expected to be available to work weekends, holidays, and other high occupancy times due to events.Full-time: 30-40 hours per week based on level of business forecastedPart-time: 8-29 hours per week based on level of business forecastedDays of week/weekend scheduled will vary depending on level of business forecasted.Shift options: Vary depending on business but require weekend availability. If you cannot work on weekends, please do not apply.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Set up for functions to include draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks and put out table centerpieces.Service to include picking up food from back hall, carrying trays to function location, serve food and clear the food from the tables.Break down to include bussing tables, putting away dirty linen and centerpieces, vacuuming.Responsibilities also include cleaning of back hall and organizing of storerooms.Set up for AM or PM break stations that include coffee, tea, snacks, beverages, etc.Assists as needed with event room setup according to meal period and table needsPerforms food & beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee and ensuring workstations are stockedServes food and beverages to guests Removes dishes, glasses, silverware or other items from tables/counter tops and takes them to the kitchenCleans and sanitizes tables and/or counters & seats after guests are finishedExplains how various menu items are prepared, cooking methods and ingredientsTakes into consideration any special request and dietary issues made by the guestProvides general property information.Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guestsInteracts with staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary informationEnsures final quality check on food and beverage items prior to serving guestsMonitors assigned tables for customer satisfaction, quality and additional serviceAddresses any guest issue promptly and with high concernProvides assistance to other event and restaurant staff as neededMaintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons)What are we looking for?Someone with 2-4 years of food service experience, preferably Banquet serviceSomeone with experience in a 4-star, 5-star venue with synchronized serviceSomeone with knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spiritsSomeone who is able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentSomeone with a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guestsSomeone with excellent communication skillsBenchmark Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
