Job Description
*We are seeking an experienced LPN/RN, OB/GYN experience preferred*
*Primary Responsibilities:*
- Addresses patient needs expeditiously
- Answers incoming patient calls, assesses situation and takes appropriate actions
- Maintains timely patient flow: escorts patient to exam room, takes vitals, documents patient history, reason for visit and prepares patient accordingly
- Documents visit to include: vitals, chief complaint, medications, current pharmacy, allergies, review of systems, and other pertinent information
- Assists provider with visit/procedure(s)
- Implements provider orders
- Answers routine patient medical inquiries
- Acts as a resource to patient: informs patient of information as directed by provider. Gathers information from patient to present a total picture regarding patient issue or concern
- Stocks/maintains exam rooms with supplies, materials and equipment. Ensures cleanliness of exam rooms
- Educates patients and their families regarding diagnostic procedures, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness
- Evaluates patient needs and determines urgency of the appointment following medical provider protocol
- Schedules patients for surgical procedures and/or appointments in other departments and clinics. Provides patients with basic information on physician referrals and other facilities for further care
- Maintains patient confidentiality
Familiarity with common gynecological tests and procedures helpful.
* *Required Qualifications:* LPN or RN licensed in the state of VA active CPR / BLS. 2 years of clinical experience in an OB/GYN office preferred.

Pay: $24.00 - $39.00 per hour
