Responsible for overall department sanitation and 5S and other tasks as assigned by management. Responsible for other projects as assigned.The duties of the PLW Relief Operator will include, but are not limited to, the following:Qualify on all tasks associated with packer operator, forklift operator, utility operator, bulk operator, and bulk helper roles. Cover vacations and other labor shortages as scheduled/needed, including moving shifts when applicable.Performs all tasks associated with operating equipment to fill material; including quality checks, analytics, flour blending, and following all associated safety policies. Routine cleaning of floors, roofs, equipment, and outside grounds. Must follow Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) guidelines. Complete all paperwork and computer data entry accurately and legibly; including but not limited to PRISM, COAs, metal detector checks, feed in, and organic documents. Must understand than overtime is sometimes required during the week, weekend, and holidays. Due to seasonality of business and volatility of markets, work hours can change suddenly.Must be able to work safely, following all safety procedures, taking all precautions, and using all required safety equipment.Must be able to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and other company policies.Must work efficiently; be alert, organized, and cooperative at all times. Must keep work areas clean at all times and perform all sanitation-related duties safely and effectively. Actively participate in department and facility teams relating to the improvement of plant safety, quality and efficiency.Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
