Full Job Description
The Dean of Students works with the principal to carry out the school's mission and vision for student learning and success. The Dean of Students provides proactive leadership to engage the school community in the development and delivery of programs and services which support students' intellectual, social, and emotional learning and growth.
Essential Job Functions:

Serve as the site Athletic Director carrying out the following duties: Collect and catalog student physical forms, meet and monitor coaches, complete payment declarations for coaches, collect and store sports uniforms, and provide athletic supervision.
• Assist in the development and implementation of disciplinary interventions and student support systems.
• Work with individual students and make parent contacts to develop responsibility for decision-making and self-regulation.
• Provide direct support to students, teachers, and staff to minimize disruptions to the learning environment.
• Assist with school emergency and safety planning/procedures and protocols.
• Attend and assist in various leadership team meetings and professional learning communities.
• Assist with general building operations and school maintenance needs.
• Assist with extracurricular supervision including but not limited to school clubs, 6th grade orientation, history bowl, spelling bee, and honors incentives.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate orally and in writing with clarity and conciseness.
• May provide instructional mentoring/coaching and conduct classroom observations as well as evaluations of select staff members.
• Assist principal with the implementation of School Board policies and district procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Applicants must hold - or be eligible for - teacher licensure; Administration/Supervision endorsement preferred.
