DePaul Community Resources seeks a full-time (37.5 hour workweek) Residential Coordinator.  This position will cover cases in both Roanoke and Christiansburg.
JOB SUMMARY
The Residential Coordinator serves as an advocate ensuring that quality services that best meet the individual's social, health, community, and safety interests are provided, and advocates for individual's services based upon their interests, needs, abilities, and disabilities. This position provides oversight to the sponsored residential home and provides support services to individuals on their assigned caseload. The Residential Coordinator also provides ongoing assessment of risk and protective factors and assesses the strengths and needs of families. The individual in this position must reflect and uphold DePaul's mission and FIRST (fairness, integrity, respect, safety, trust) values.
TRAINING, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's degree in a human services field is required, and one year of experience in providing casework services. A human services field may include social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, psychiatric or vocational rehabilitation, special education, and gerontology. Additional degrees related to a human services field may be considered after a review of the college transcript. Must obtain certification in First Aid, CPR, and crisis management of challenging behaviors within the prescribed time after hire.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The applicant must submit a current MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) that reports the previous seven years and possess a driving record that complies with DePaul's insurer's policy before hiring. The applicant shall not have been convicted of any barrier crime(s) on the criminal background report. The applicant will have no founded disposition of child abuse or neglect as documented by the Child Protective Services (CPS) background report. The employee must occasionally lift a minimum of 25 pounds, physically assist physically dependent individuals, and restrain a child when appropriate with proper certifications. Must have and use personal transportation. Work hours may include afternoons, evenings, and weekends, as well as regular business hours. The applicant must be willing to be on-call periodically to provide emergency casework coverage.
A hybrid work arrangement, a combination of telework and onsite work, may be available.
Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
