As the QA/QC Chemist, you will have a pivotal role in our organization, overseeing the quality program. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing processes and products meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The right individual has a big picture mentality, and will be supported to grow into an executive role as we expand.
Responsibilities:
• Perform thorough quality control checks on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with GMP regulations and company standards.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis using analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, etc.
• Develop and validate analytical methods and procedures for quality testing.
• Review and approve batch records, analytical data, and other documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GMP standards.
• Participate in internal and external audits and inspections, providing support and guidance to maintain compliance and resolve any findings.
• Investigate and resolve deviations, non-conformances, and out-of-specification results, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) as necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance quality systems, including SOPs, change controls, and training programs.
• Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with GMP requirements.
• Collaborate with vendors and service technicians.
• Stay updated with regulatory requirements, industry trends, and advancements in GMP practices to proactively identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations and guidelines is a plus.
• Proficiency in using analytical instruments and techniques such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, etc.
• Familiarity with method development, validation, and verification processes.
• Solid understanding of quality control principles, and documentation practices in a GMP setting.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
