Responsibilities:
• Creates and maintains production schedule.
• Manages and expedites the flow of work and materials between work facilities, as well as other external operations.
• Works with other team members to address resource constraints.
• Creates and actively manages buffers in the schedule.
• Monitors progress towards completion dates and initiates corrective action, when necessary.
• Creates and maintains ad hoc reports related to customer order patterns, assisting with business decisions.
• Releases orders in Order Management module.
• Conducts weekly capacity meetings; maintains lead capacity communication for work teams and/or supervisors to adjust working hours to meet customer dates.
• Manages customer stock levels in their environment.
• Continuously seeks ways to improve capacity planning, scheduling, order data entry, and office/shop floor communications.
• Always prioritizes safety.
• This position must be performed in the facility and is not a remote position.
Position Requirements:
• A Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Management, Production Management, Accounting/Finance, or commensurate experience.
• At least two (2) years of relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
• Ability to work with limited guidance.
• Innovative and creative thinker.
• Ability to work weekends, overtime and holidays as needed.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
• A valid driver's license.
• Must possess the following key competencies:
• Position requires extensive walking daily.
Desired Qualifications
• Previous experience with Oracle, especially in OM, WIP, BOM, Material Planner, and Inventory modules.
• At least two (2) or more years of experience with ERP systems.
• Previous Production Planning and Scheduling experience.
• Advanced spreadsheet capabilities (Microsoft Excel).
