Role Summary:
The Warehouse Lead carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Leads assist the Supervisor in attaining overall department goals. They lead by example and assist the Supervisor and department by effectively planning and organizing workflow, promoting teamwork, training, problem-solving and decision-making.
Responsibilities:
• Coach, mentor and motivate employees to meet standards and succeed in their assigned job.
• Assist in planning, prioritizing, and communicating shift directives to ensure efficiency and accuracy for all inbound related activities
• Ensure that all shift personnel receive proper training, skill development per company guidelines
• Recommend opportunities for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of associates for increased shift contribution
• Achieve and maintain compliance with company SQDC model and federally mandated regulations regarding safety, OSHA, HazMat and DOT
• Plan and coordinate shift activities to ensure adherence to all DC procedures and documentation set forth
• Monitor and help coordinate execution of SLA, workflow, and any escalated client requests daily
• Reinforce policy and procedure compliance Communicate progress to supervisor
• Dispatch work as needed to balance labor with work volume.
• Follow-up with associates on performance throughout the day, coach and recognize where appropriate
• Provides direction in a professional manner Follows all safety guidelines and performs in a safe and careful manner
• Perform all department functions as needed
• Fill in for other leads when needed
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
• Must possess visual acuity to read labels, RF scanners and to maneuver throughout facility
• Must be able to hear and understand verbal instructions
• Must possess capability to walk or stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to push or pull carts of up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to climb stairs
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and grasp products
Travel:
• This position is not remote.
• Travel is not required.
Hours: Mondya to Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm. Must be available for additional hours as needed.
