Position Title: GRANTS MONITORResponsible To: SuperintendentBasic Function: To utilize state funding and grant opportunities to as great advantage as possible to benefit the educational excellence of the district's programs and personnel. Performance Responsibilities:Seeks and applies for public and private funds supporting the mission of the district. Collaborates and assists the professional staff in planning the wise utilization and coordination of funds available to the schools through the various state grants and special programs. Works with designated committees of teachers, principal, and lay persons in specific programs, projects, or courses of action. Obtains information, data, and application forms necessary to fulfill the requirements of application. Considers and evaluates all requests from school personnel for projects and programs requiring state monies. Assumes final responsibility for the writing of proposals and the filing of applications for state monies. Monitors and evaluates state projects in operation in the district on a regular basis. Compiles and maintains written records and reports on results of state projects; disseminates this information, as appropriate, to other educational institutions, lay groups, and the State Department of Education. Remains up-to-date on the changing laws and requirements regarding state funds available to schools. Prepares and administers budgets in each of the programs/projects as assigned by the Superintendent. Supervises project personnel associated with state funded programs as designed by the Superintendent. Collects, analyzes and synthesizes multiple sources of data to inform evaluation and programmatic decision making. Observes classroom instruction regularly to inform evaluation and programmatic decision-making. Implements effective consultation practices with private schools as applicable.Minimum Qualifications:Kentucky Certification for Supervisor of Instruction or School Principal.Administrative experience preferred but not required.Terms of Employment:Two hundred forty (230) days per year. Salary to be established by the Board.Evaluation:Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of board policy onEvaluation of Professional Personnel.
