Sobrius Health is a small business in Bassett, VA. We are professional, agile and our goal is to The CSAC collaborates with the Site Manager and other therapeutic team members to determine continuum of care for program participants. Provides individual and group counseling sessions. Review’s curricula and other program materials for clinical appropriateness. Any new curricula or materials must be submitted to the Site Manager for approval. Supervises the assessment of all newly arrived residents; participate in scheduling all residents into treatment activities; and monitors and evaluates performance of resident participation. Reviews and prepares all clinical documentation (treatment progress, treatment plans, and client coordination of care plan, etc.) and conducts regular quality assurance and quality improvement reviews to ensure that all appropriate record-keeping is performed on a timely basis. Acts as the program’s liaison with families and offers recommendations for program development and improvement. Provides ongoing client assessment to identify changing needs pertaining to the individual treatment and development strategy. Conducts regular chart reviews, ensuring that all appropriate record-keeping is performed on a timely basis and that all governing agency regulations are met. Attends meetings called by the Site Ma and participates in discussions concerning the revision, improvement and expansion of existing programs and offers recommendations. Participates in quality assurance, quality improvement and utilization review activities and makes recommendations to the program director for plans of corrections. Maintains established performance and conduct standards in accordance with organizational expectations. Interview clients, review records, and confer with other professionals to evaluate individuals' mental and physical condition and to determine their suitability for participation in a specific program. Interview clients to gather information about their backgrounds, needs, or progress. Collaborate with other professionals to assess client needs or plan treatments. Intervene as an advocate for clients or patients to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations. Coordinate counseling efforts with mental health professionals or other health professionals, such as doctors, nurses, or social workers. Collaborate with other professionals to assess client needs or plan treatments. Modify treatment plans to comply with changes in client status. Modify treatment plans to accommodate client needs. Participate in case conferences or staff meetings. Collaborate with other professionals to assess client needs or plan treatments. Coordinate activities with courts, probation officers, community services, or other post-treatment agencies. Collaborate with other professionals to assess client needs or plan treatments. Train or supervise student interns or new staff members. Train staff members in social services skills. Supervise workers providing client or patient services. Plan or implement follow-up or aftercare programs for clients to be discharged from treatment programs. Develop treatment plans for patients or clients. Assess individuals' degree of drug dependency by collecting and analyzing urine samples. Administer drug screening Tests. .

We are seeking an experienced Substance Abuse Counselor to counsel patients with chemical dependency issues. The counselor will be responsible for assessing patients, creating individualized treatment plans, prioritizing patient needs and conducting aftercare evaluations. This position is ideal for someone with a compassionate attitude, strong communication skills and experience working with a variety trauma victims.

• Communicate effectively in person, by telephone, in writing and through electronic means.
• Work cooperatively with supervisors, peers and subordinates.

• Understand the policies set forth by the organization.
• Work on a team using written or verbal communication methods.
• Communicate with clients using non-verbal communication such as facial expressions, body language, touch, etc.

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
