Join us in this role where you'll be responsible for supporting all project real estate and title curative efforts associated with our solar, wind, and energy storage portfolio. This work includes extensive review of real estate title, preparation of curative trackers and support documentation, and ALTA survey coordination and review.
Welcome to Real Estate
You'll be part of the Real Estate team where you, together with your colleagues, will lead the title and real estate curative effort for our solar, wind, and energy storage portfolio, in preparation for financing and construction activities.
You'll play an important role in:
* supporting the drafting and distribution of real estate contracts for both the Legal and Development teams
* providing real estate and title guidance relating to the development and execution of projects
* coordinating and tracking the request of preliminary title commitments and proforma title policies from title insurance agencies
* reviewing and analyzing title work and creating and maintaining title curative trackers
* coordinating mineral research and reviewing mineral chains of title and negotiating agreements with mineral owners, e.g., surface waivers, surface use agreements, etc.
* researching encroachments and creating and maintaining encroachment trackers and negotiating agreements with easement/infrastructure owners, incl. crossing agreements, letters of no objection, etc.
To succeed in the role, you:
* have five years' contract and title experience in energy development
* have extensive knowledge of oil, gas, and mineral right law and common practices
* have strong organizational and communication skills
* understand relevant U.S. federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding title and real estate
* have a bachelor's degree.
