The Assembly Technician performs a variety of tasks to assemble industrial electric motors, including press operations, turning operations using CNC lathes, welding, dynamic balancing, electrical testing, painting and crating. The ability to measure in inches and fractions with a steel rule or tape is required. Temp to hire and direct hire opportunities available.
Your responsibilities • Ability to receive and understand spoken and written technical instructions and respond in English.
• The ability to read and interpret information from prints, factory orders, routings and other internal documentation in hard copy or electronic formats.
• Function safely in an industrial manufacturing setting where factory physical conditions exist, including shift work as required.
• Attendance and punctuality to company standards.
• Use the overhead crane/hoist.
• Use appropriate gauges and measuring devices.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements.
• Conform to policies and procedures as an ABB employee.
• Perform housekeeping duties as required.
• Train, share knowledge & information with coworkers.
• Other temporary duties/responsibilities as assigned.
Your background • High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous industrial experience preferred.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
