AutosbyNelson is hiring an experienced automotive mechanic to join our busy shop. We will pay a fully Certified technician up to a $10,000 sign on bonus. Business has picked up and we are in need of a technician with prior experience to join our team. The candidate must have their own tools and have the ability to get along well with others while working in a fast paced environment. A current Virginia State Inspection license is preferred but not required. We expect that the candidate that we hire will work towards certification. Pay is based on experience and we will pay a premium for certified technicians. Once certifications completed the pay will increase accordingly.

*Responsibilities – Service Technician:*
* Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
* Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
* Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air-conditioning, etc.
* Perform multi-point inspection
* Fix the vehicle right the first time! Make a quality check after each repair
* Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers, providing an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs
* Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
* Adhere to company regulations and keep abreast of recalls and updates.
* Input all vehicle recommendations and complete check sheet in MPI.
*Qualifications/Requirements - Service Technician:*
* Virginia State Inspection license preferred
* ASE certification is a plus but not required. We train and grow our own!
* A high level of motivation and demonstrated ability to learn and succeed.
* Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
* Professional appearance.
* Valid driver’s license
