Twin Oaks Baptist Church is a very active and growing church located in Franklin County, VA. We are associated with the Southern Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia. We are theologically conservative with an open-minded approach to ministry. Our music is a mixture of Praise Worship and Traditional. Most members have been raised in a rural setting; however, as our county,
the population continues to grow and suburbanize, we also have visitors and members who are from other parts of the county. We currently have a membership of over 300 with an average Sunday morning worship attendance of 250. Wednesday evenings include an active Awana program, teen ministry, and adult Bible study. We also have other activities and Bible studies throughout the week.
We are looking for an Office Manager to join our dedicated team!
Pay
$37,440.00 - $52,000.00 per year depending on experience
Schedule
Mondays through Fridays at church office
Availability to be present on Sunday morning would be a benefit
? Responsibilities
Twin Oaks Baptist Church is seeking to fill a full-time position of Office Manager. The Office Manager will serve the church congregation and work with ministry leaders to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the church. This is an important position that requires responsibility, approachability, self-motivation, and integrity. The Office Manager will report directly to the Senior Pastor. Below are the essential job duties and responsibilities of this role:
1) Office management
The Office Manager will be responsible for the general office duties needed to assist our congregation.
Such duties will include:
Receiving incoming telephone calls and visitors
Distributing church mail
Performing ‘Call-em-alls’ when needed
Producing and distributing church correspondence and mailings
Maintaining church records which will include lists of active members and their contact information
Maintaining church office and equipment
Maintaining the official church calendar for meetings, events, and services
Ordering any supplies needed for the church
Maintaining a bi-weekly e-bulletin of current church events
Coordinating with others involved in our weekly announcements
Maintaining the church website
Maintaining the church's Facebook page and other forms of church social media
Creating PowerPoint slides when needed
2) Technology
The Office Manager will be responsible to work with our A/V team to prepare weekly Sunday morning
announcements. Such duties will include:
Building weekly "playlist" for Pro-presenter for order of worship
Adding graphics for songs & import any other needed media as needed. (Example- Operation Christmas Child highlight videos)
Editing service recording files and trimming to fit the sermon and adjusting audio & merging with sermon graphics
Upload to our audio provider (Soundcloud / podbean)
Send a copy of the baptism video to family
3) Financial duties
The Office Manager may sometimes be responsible for the management of church finances. Such duties may include:
Depositing weekly in-house offerings and contributions (American National Bank, Rocky Mt.)
Collecting, approving, and delivering deposit receipts, copy of congregational contributions, approved invoices, reimbursement requests, and time sheets to the church bookkeeper
Gathering information for the church bookkeeper and church finance committee
Meeting monthly with the church finance committee to review expenditures and church financial status
