REMOTE WORK OPTION AVAILABLE
Supports Carilion's hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities. Promotes and provides customer service and technical support to areas of expertise for all levels of employees, departments and business units. Ensures timely, accurate and consistent data and analysis information is delivered with regard to projects and broader initiatives. Must maintain a high degree of proficiency in computer software related to databases, spreadsheets, statistical analysis and other applications.
•
Use Microsoft Excel to accurately calculate costs of various and multiple pay adjustments for large data sets.
• Prepares and maintains job descriptions; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
• Assesses position job duties to determine classification as exempt or non-exempt and appropriate salary range.
• Analyzes jobs against survey data and other relevant data to determine competitive compensation ranges.
• Prepares and maintains job details in HR information system.
• Prepares and presents compensation summary reports of job and compensation analysis information to departments.
• Gathers relevant data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess and present results and market trends to department.
• Assists with maintaining data in survey software.
• Conducts data and cost analyses for department.
• Assists with reviewing and updating procedures, policies, etc. as needed.
• Partners with department on providing training and education on specific issues or topics related to compensation. Works with other HR areas.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
What We Require:
Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in HR, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent 4 years of experience required.
Experience: Three (3) years of general HR or related experience required. Related experience must include Excel skills, may include Finance or business experience.
Licensure/Certification: None required. Relevant HR or Finance certification preferred.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Have solid working knowledge or Microsoft Office programs especially Excel. Excel is used daily. Familiar with human resources laws, regulations, and best practices. Lawson knowledge preferred. MarketPay experience preferred. Must work well in a team environment. Must be very detail oriented. Must have the ability to hold data and information confidential. Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to work on multiple tasks/projects while meeting deadlines and being flexible in an environment or changing priorities. Must possess excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Demonstrated analytical thinking and interpersonal skills.
