The House Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing the daily operation of our group homes. You will perform tasks related to paperwork requirements, medication review, projects and assisting with tasks that ensure effective and efficient day to day operations.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, REQUIREMENTS AND PREREQUISITES
Must be 18 years of age or older.
High School or GED Diploma or 6 months of experience in the Human Services field.
Pass our paid training in CPR, First Aid and DSP orientation within 30 days of employment.
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Responsible work ethic and good communication skills.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work as part of the team with the Residential program to ensure the smooth operation of all residential group homes.
Participate in the hiring of DSP1s by attending potential candidate interviews.
Provide thorough orientation and training per guidelines for new DSP1s and ensure that DSP1s understand and follow all protocols and implement the ISP’s appropriately. Provide additional training as needed.
Schedule DSPIs to work open shifts or gaps in coverage. Provide coverage if no other staff is available.
Ensure all medications are available and dispensed correctly and inform Health Coordinator of any changes to the individual’s medical needs.
Schedule, coordinate and attend medical and dental appointments.
Complete monthly check of MARs and medication to ensure accuracy, and ensure all health and safety regulations are followed.
Ensure that individuals have an appropriate supply of clothing, personal hygiene items and other personal items. Schedule and ensure haircuts as needed.
Follow program procedure for spending, recording, and accounting of individual’s money.
Assess household needs and ensure the home is kept well stocked.
Gather and code receipts and submit by due date.
Ensure agency vehicle is maintained, reconcile gas receipts and submit by due date
Create monthly activity calendar, in conjunction with the PM plan, and implement community outings and ensure adequate staff is available.
Arrange for the celebration of all major holidays and the individuals’ birthdays.
Check charts throughout the month to ensure documentation is in compliance with policy and is occurring as required.
Complete a detailed Monthly Supervision Report Schedule and conduct a monthly meeting with all DSP1’s assigned to your house.
Attend and participate in supervisor meetings and other meetings as directed or required.
Conduct monthly emergency preparedness drills and walk throughs at your assigned home.
Participate in an on-call rotation.
Provide transportation in accordance with agency procedures.
Respond to emergency situations and implement First Aid, CPR or CPI when required.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Equivalent of six months direct experience working with persons with ID or developmental disabilities.
Experience in a Human Services agency preferred.
