Job Description
First Bank and Trust is seeking an Office Manager for its Loan Production Office in Roanoke, Virginia. This individual will assist in customer service, provide administrative support to our commercial loan officers, manage office needs, and promote First Bank & Trust in the community. This individual will be versatile and learn of the various products and services offered by our bank. The ideal candidate must have prior banking experience.
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing high-level customer service and operational support for the Loan Production Office. The individual will also provide administrative support to the VP Regional Credit Officer or other officers as needed. This position requires a variety of experience and abilities to implement, manage, and monitor all necessary procedures and other tasks assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The go to person if the designated Commercial Loan Officer is out of the office or unavailable.
Answers the phone to assist customers and provide support for bank products and services.
Learn and understand commercial deposit services and online banking to be able to address customer questions, process loan payments and assist with other financial transactions.
Directly supports the Commercial Loan Officer in the LPO or other officers as needed.
Supports and insures the operations and customer service for the LPO.
Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of customer and company information.
Performs general clerical duties, including but not limited to mailing, filings, copying and faxing.
Provides dependability to support particular loan officer responsibilities.
Composition of correspondence and organization and maintenance of commercial file system.
Interact with customers including providing ongoing communication to client to ensure that the loan process runs smoothly.
File and distribute organization and loan correspondence, records and reports to proper file location.
Scan files and documents to synergy
Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries and payoffs.
Provide check cashing approvals and cashier’s check signings to a specified limit as needed.
Prepare correspondence and handle customer inquiries and provide information including resolving loan payment/billing questions and payoffs.
Assists in special events or projects and represents the bank at community events as needed.
Refer customers to other areas of the bank for information regarding other bank products.
Other duties as required by commercial lender or SVP.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate Degree - Accounting, Business, Finance, Communications and/or Marketing
Work Experience may be considered in lieu of an Associate Degree (additional ABA classes may be required)
Three or more years of customer service experience preferred.
