Full Job Description Maintenance Technician
Department: Engineering & Maintenance
Position Summary:
Assist in being responsible for maintenance of the hotel’s building and grounds and the operation of its equipment and mechanical/electrical systems. Completes hotel repairs and performs preventive maintenance work to ensure hotel quality maintenance standards are achieved and maintained. Responsible for maintaining the parking lot, hallways, lobby, and guest rooms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provides the highest quality of service to the guests at all times. Consistently promotes proper sanitation and safety for guests and employees.
• Deals promptly and efficiently with guest complaints and needs.
• Completes duties as outlined or assigned by management.
• Assists/responsible for supervising maintenance operations for hotel, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, preventive maintenance, hotel rooms, A/C units, ice machines, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, water softeners, switch rooms, roof exhausts, electrical substations, etc.
• Aids and instructs craftsmen in scheduling work, ordering material and completing assignments by a specified date.
• Performs minor repairs to in-house plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC systems.
• Refurbishes furniture and fixtures within the hotel such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters. Paints and finishes furniture and fixtures as needed.
• Wears proper uniform and name tag at all times in accordance with the Employee Handbook.
• Has a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Practices safety standards at all times and performs preventive maintenance. May perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs in accordance with company/brand directives and instructions.
• Able to move items weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Adheres to all work rules and procedures/policies established by the company and brand.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or its equivalent with 2 years experience in the field of maintenance.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance.
• Follow thru on projects to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Attention to detail.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
