Full Stack Software Engineer We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team based in Roanoke, Virginia. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and services. In addition, you will take on various Data Engineering and Data Science responsibilities, as we share responsibilities and knowledge across our growing team. We offer a hybrid work schedule and currently offer the option to work remote up to 2 days per week. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Developer - Full Stack to join our team based in Roanoke, Virginia. As a Full Stack Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and services, including front and back end. In addition, you will take on various Data Engineering and Data Science responsibilities, as we share responsibilities and knowledge across our growing team. Responsibilities: Design and develop user-facing features for web applications, including front end and back end Write high-quality, testable and efficient code, including automated tests Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex software and data problems that directly impact our business and customers Participate in design reviews to ensure our implementations are efficient and high quality Debug and fix any software or data issues Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends The ideal candidate will meet the following: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Five years of professional experience working as a Software Developer or Data Engineer Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS and modern front-end frameworks (e.g. React) Proficiency in Node.js and at least one back-end framework (e.g. Express, Ruby on Rails) Familiarity with big data platforms such as Azure or Domo Experience with Git or similar version control tools and processes Strong problem solving and debugging skills Understanding of RESTful API design Ability to write clean, well-documented code We offer a challenging work environment, along with opportunities for career growth and advancement.
