The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources strives to maintain healthy populations of fish andwildlife across the state. The employees of Kentucky Fish and Wildlife are passionate about the resource theymanage. The Wildlife Division of Kentucky Fish and Wildlife is currently seeking a Wildlife ProgramCoordinator to work within the Green River Region.
Responsibilities and job duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
• The candidate will serve as the team leader in the supervision of all Wildlife Division regional andpublic lands staff in the Green River Region and maintains coordination with the Central office, program staffand field staff.
• The candidate will be primarily administrative in nature and is responsible for day-to-day decisionmaking on fiscal and personnel matters, handling regional issues, and the development of regional budgets,work plans, and reports.
• The candidate will work closely with the Department administration in developing regional and statewidestrategies to meet KDFWR Strategic Plan, habitat, and species-specific goals with regional biologists toimplement and develop program opportunities; and with Wildlife Management Area (WMA) staff in developing andimplementing short and long-term habitat management approaches and goals for WMAs.

• The candidate is self-motivated and hold themselves to high expectations.
• A keen attention to detail, excellent verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to usesocial media channels effectively.
• Candidate should have outstanding customer service skills and appreciate digital first consumer needs.

Working Conditions
Work is performed approximately 50% indoor and 50% outdoors. Duties involve working with all species of wildlife found in the Commonwealth.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
