The Regional Production Manager will oversee and manage the overall operations of multiple shops locations which include facility management, budget execution, and quality of output operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Hires and onboards Operation staff; provides appropriate new hire training.
• Provides additional safety and production training, as needed.
• Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of departmental supervisors.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with Human Resources and company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Prepare site and collaborates with other managers and construction professionals such as engineers, architects, buyers, surveyors, and estimators ahead of beginning the actual construction work.
• Developing the program for strategy and work for implementation of construction projects.
• Reviews logs, datasheets, and reports to assess production, and other metrics.
• Identifies process abnormalities or inefficiencies then addresses those problems by determining and implementing appropriate changes.
• Plans for preventing problems on the site before they can occur, such as, planning delivery and storage of materials and equipment
• Prepares, executes, and monitors budgets.
• Submits periodic production reports to director or other appropriate staff.
• Authorizes new production processes and required equipment purchases or repairs.
• Ensures employee compliance with plant safety, environmental, and operational standards, and regulations.
• Uses various construction management software for planning the smooth flow of work.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Excellent computer skills using Tablets, Desktops or Laptops.
• Thorough understanding of Residential New Construction process.
• Proficiency in computer applications, especially construction related software.
• Ability to coach, develop and motivate employees.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
• Associate degree in related field, or equivalent industry work experience required, Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
• Background in Residential New Construction.
• Experience in Leadership role in the Electrical Trade is Required.
• At least Five years of related experience in similar capacity at a construction industry along with experience in project management and development.
• Working knowledge of underground and aerial construction standard and principles, including OSHA regulation and the National Electrical Code.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking through Shops.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
License/Certification: Florida HVAC License (preferred)
