It all begins with you.About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lending Operations Manager in Commercial Banking as part of the Wholesale Lending Flood Operations team.The Wholesale Lending Flood Operations team is a key control in ensuring Wells Fargo is fully assessing Flood risk and is compliant with the FDPA Policy.  Failure to mitigate risk in this portfolio would have significant impacts to the Bank by creating defects that could result in regulatory and policy violations and adverse impact to internal and external customers. This leader role will be responsible to lead a team that executes on the processing and/or quality assurance reviews on Commercial loans for FDPA and Flood Insurance requirements.  This will include oversight of pipeline management, SLA's, and interaction with front line partners, insurance agents and flood vendors.  The Candidate must demonstrate the ability to get into the details of processes, solve for root cause issues with urgency and identify opportunities for simplification.  The ideal candidate will also be a catalyst for change management in a dynamic, regulated environment.   Lead with energy and enthusiasm to deliver change.   Works collectively with leaders, team members and stakeholders to sets a high standard for regulatory compliance and execution.  Support the development and execution of a risk control framework.In this role, you will:Manage the activities of a Loan Production, Loan Servicing, and Commercial or Real Estate Construction Loan team responsible for loan processing, documentation, pre-closing or closing tasks, loan monitoring, loan servicing, or underwriting activitiesEngage stakeholders and internal partners associated with the Lending Operations functional areaIdentify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development within Lending Operations functional areaParticipate in the formulation and implementation of new and revised systems, policies, and guidelinesOversee implementation of practices to ensure compliance with Wells Fargo legal, investor, regulatory, or business policiesMake credit decisions and resolve issues regarding performance of a business unit or functional area to ensure business objectives are metInterpret and develop policies and procedures for functional areas with low to moderate complexity, and with accountability for special portfolio segments requiring focused managementCollaborate and consult with Lending Operations peers, colleagues, and multiple level managers accountable for providing quality customer service to internal or external customersManage allocation of people and financial resources for Lending OperationsMentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talentRequired Qualifications:4+ years of Transactions and Processing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education2+ years of Leadership experienceDesired Qualifications:Strong Analytical Skills with high attention to detail and accuracyStrong problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsExperience with financial services businesses in a regulated environmentExperience with pipeline management oversightKnowledge and understanding of FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency)Knowledge and understanding of Private flood insurance policiesKnowledge and understanding of National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) insurance policiesKnowledge and understanding of flood insurance policy requirements, contents value and appraisals1+ years of experience in Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA) compliance and process experienceKnowledge and understanding of real estate or commercial loansAbility to review and interpret complex commercial loan documentsAbility to read and interpret legal documentsExperience reviewing insurance policy applications for completeness, accuracy, and acceptability of riskRisk and regulatory compliance experienceMilitary experience in personnel benefits management, processing military personnel orders or transitions, wartime readiness operations, human resources or military recruitingMilitary intelligence or analytics experience including operational management, project management, mission evolution management and finance managementPosting location:7711 Plantation Rd, Roanoke, VAHybrid Work Schedule: M - F, 3 days in office and 2 days remote (Wednesdays required in office)We Value DiversityAt Wells Fargo, we believe in diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace; accordingly, we welcome applications for employment from all qualified candidates, regardless of race, color, gender, national origin, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, individuals with disabilities, pregnancy, marital status, status as a protected veteran or any other status protected by applicable law.Employees support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company.
