Facilities Supervisor-Engineering Professional Non-Clinical Hours: M-F 7:00A-3:30P Days - Full-time Paygrade/Wages/Salary Info: 75A -
Job Summary Manages daily operations of the Facilities department to ensure alignment with department and organizational objectives. # Job Responsibilities Ensures that facilities are maintained, secured, renovated, and constructed according to departmental and organizational policies, procedures, plans, and initiatives. Responsible for daily inspections, documentation, and reporting for all maintenance activities. May perform as a working supervisor at a senior level in one or more of the major skills and or crafts generally associated with plant operations, such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical. Coordinates work of suppliers, contractors, subcontractors, testing labs, and consultants to achieve desired goals for maintaining building systems, while minimizing negative impacts on the operations of the hospital, staff, and patients. Ensures accurate and efficient work performance by monitoring and comparing all work being completed by the licensed tradesmen and/or maintenance technicians. Completes schedule and financial estimates for work to be accomplished; coordinates with hospital clinical staff; originates and validates orders for materials and labor; processes invoices. Assists with the development and compliance of the department budgets, including capital, operating, and construction budgets. Maintains knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory, and administrative requirements and ensures departmental compliance. Performs staffing, performance evaluations, and training activities and assists with capacity planning for staff and contract labor. Qualifications High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hire A minimum of 2 years# relevant experience required No licensure/certification/registration required Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
