Job Summary Provides pastoral care to patients, family members, and organizational staff experiencing challenge or crisis. # Job Responsibilities Responds to code blue and trauma alerts, exemplifying a calming, soothing presence. Provides education and direction in the end-of-life decisions and ethical issues upon request. Assesses and responds to the spiritual and emotional needs of those counseled, including crisis intervention and bereavement. Participates in an interdisciplinary approach to pastoral care and patient health. Documents visits and interventions appropriately according to the standards of the healthcare organization. Fosters a collaborative relationship with community clergy and faith group leaders. Qualifications Bachelor#s degree or higher in Religious Studies required upon hire OR Bachelor#s degree or higher in Theology required upon hire OR Bachelor#s degree or higher in related field required upon hire A minimum of 1 year relevant experience required No licensure/certification/registration required Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
