Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a Warehouse Worker to join our first shift team. This position is based at our Roanoke, VA facility. This role starts at $19.31/hr.
Position Overview
Audit inbound freight for accurate count, damages, and examine products to ensure damaged products are not used in assembly. A few different opens, ideally some candidates with forklift experience so they can be more focused on that. Receiving or walk picking roles. Variety of warehouse responsibilities.
In this function you will:
• Work with a diverse group of people in varying roles to meet daily shipment and receiving goals
• Receive, fulfill, or ship orders to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Work in a collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
• Support a Zero Incident Safety Culture
• Be an active participant in continuous improvement efforts
• Use RF (radio frequency) units to scan barcodes
• Have the opportunity to learn to operate material handling equipment
Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience operating material handling equipment
• Previous experience using an RF Scanner
• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
• Ability to frequently move items weighing up to 40 pounds
