Job Summary
As the Senior Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating and leading technical initiatives that could span across multiple cross functional teams. Serves as project resource for large project implementations from design through start up. Oversee the reliability and maintenance of systems and equipment thru standard reliability practices, standards and tools.
Job Description/Responsibilities
• Develop and implement major capital projects and maintenance initiatives as a key member of the Leadership Team.
• Manage, communicate, and construct an annual R/M Budget.
• Conduct regular meetings with all contractors to ensure clarification and maintaining of objectives, schedules and budgets.
• Lead Maintenance & Reliability Team to ensure plant operates at a reliable level for operations to achieve the highest efficiency and quality through support of capital planning, systems controls, project management and overall maintenance.
• Support and ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance standards, policies and regulations. .
• Oversee the implementation changes and maintain CMMS for the facility as a whole.
• Consult with operations on cost savings projects applying expertise to recommend new methodologies and equipment to ensure production efficiency, maximize output and prevent down time.
• Evaluates functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by conferring with operating departments; identifying problems and requirements.
• Improves function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in continual educational opportunities, including subscribing to technical publications.
• Creates and maintains contractor and vendor relationships through active scheduling and quoting.
• Assist with CAPEX budget and yearly service budgets.
• Commitment for the Company’s ISO program including the quality and food safety of our products.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
• At least 10 years experience in Engineering/Maintenance and/or Project Manager work in a bourbon distillery preferred.
• High school degree or higher education.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Engineering, Mechanical, and Electronics troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate, sometimes complex technical topics, at all levels of the organization.
• Strong time management and analytical skills.
• Technical understanding of equipment maintenance and reliability principles.
• Team Player that is able to motivate and facilitate others.
Physical requirements
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
• The employee must be able to lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis from floor to shoulder.
• The employee must be able to physically navigate around a plant/production environment, including the repetitive climbing of stairs and elevated walkways.
